Eleanor Antin (b. 1935) has dedicated her career to a continuous investigation of limitations of “self.”
Through photographs, video, performances, writing, and installation Antin documents the various
personas she takes on, allowing their identities to develop over time. She has exhibited extensively,
with recent exhibitions at the Getty Center, Los Angeles; documenta 12, Kassel, Germany; Los Ange-
les County Museum of Art; Whitney Museum of American Art, NY; KW Institute for Contemporary Art,
Berlin; and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. Represented by Ronald Feldman Gallery.
