Christian Holstad [b. 1972] transforms recognizable objects into sculptural
works that
reflect themes of love, loss and nostalgia, using techniques such as sewing
and knitting
to emphasize the tactile object and convey a sense of sensual isolation. Exhibitions
include the 2005 Greater New York at P.S. 1, and the 2004 Whitney Biennial.
Represented
by Daniel Reich Gallery.
