The graphic artists’ group, D-Fuse, sent out samples of their abstract films to international sound artists with the goal of challenging and reversing the conventional production methods of MTV-type music videos. The visual samples inspired the musicians to create exclusive audio tracks. The result of this collaboration is D-Tonate, a compilation of eleven video tracks created and reinterpreted in up to five versions which can be randomly accessed by the viewer at each viewing station.
